In the Event your vehicle has been impounded by the police, the following is a guideline as to what you will need to retrieve your vehicle.

  • Valid Driver's License or State Issued I.D.
  • Proof of Ownership (such as the vehicle's title or registration)
  • All fees for the towing service paid in cash or with a credit card. (We do NOT accept personal checks)
  • Must have a release from the officer or police department that had the vehicle impounded.
  • Proof of insurance may be required by the police department that had the vehicle impounded.

*Please remember Stapleton Towing did NOT have your vehicle towed. We only provided the towing and storage service. Please contact the officer or police department in charge of the impound to have your vehicle released.

Q. What do I need to scrap a vehicle?

A. To scrap a car you will need the title and a state issued photo I.D.

Q. What is light and medium towing?

A. Anything less than 33,000 lbs. Basically we can tow any vehicle except tractor trailer trucks.

Q. How far can I have my car towed?

A. Generally we stick to a 200 mile radius, but exceptions can be made at the owner’s discretion.

Q. Can you bill me or my insurance?

A. Payments are due at time of service, however, we can bill your insurance with your policy information.

Q. What information do I need to get my car towed?

A. We need the location of the vehicle, the keys left with it (if you are not with the vehicle), information for how you are paying, the type of vehicle you are having towed (year, make, model, license plate, and color), address to where the car is being towed, what is wrong with the vehicle, and your contact information.

Q. What are your hours of operation?

A. The business is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 4 p.m. However, we do tows 24 hours a day 7 days a week.

A. We accept cash, Mastercard , Visa, and checks if approved by the owner.
